"The bicycle gives me the freedom to come and go as I please"
‘My bicycle means to me what a car means to other people. We own a car, but I almost always prefer using the bicycle – depending on our schedule, of course. The bicycle gives me the freedom to come and go as I please, and I really enjoy that feeling. Little to no delays along the way.
Ease of use: I can park in front of the door nearly everywhere. No worries about parking or paying for parking. Fresh air: I love feeling the wind in my hair and in my face, especially when it's cold! When I'm cycling, I feel connected to my surroundings.
Fitness: getting enough exercise is also important, and I like keeping up a good pace. That also means that I don't need a thick winter coat; all I need is a warm, pure, and natural woollen sweater! Social contact: whether I'm walking, running, or cycling, I greet everyone!
Mood: when I'm feeling a little down, I just need to get on my bicycle and I immediately feel a lot happier.
Environment: this is not my main reason for cycling, but it all adds up to a win-win situation.
All in all, I feel that the race has already been won if people can read about how motivated I am and feel inspired to travel by bicycle more often.’
