Heading out from the 'Simpelveld Poort Mergelland natuurtransferium' parking facility

Going exploring in the Limburg Hill Country? Park your car at a 'natuurtransferium' parking facility and then walk or cycle into natural areas. A number of parking facilities have extra facilities, including hotels, restaurants, cafés, and bicycle rental businesses. Do you know about all the options for a safe day out starting at the Natuurtransferium Poort Mergelland in Simpelveld?

Continue your journey on foot or by bicycle

The natuurtransferium is a great starting point for exploring the area on your own bicycle. We have up to ten cycling routes to choose from. If you can't bring your own bicycle, we have on-location options to hire a bicycle or e-bike so that you can explore the area by bicycle. Alternatively, you can explore on foot! There are eight walking routes in and around Simpelveld to choose from as well as three Roman-themed walking routes.

Catching your breath afterwards

After completing your cycling or walking route, we recommend enjoying a great drink or delicious bite to eat – at a safe distance – at Brasserie 3Sprong after putting your bike on the charger or while you give your legs a well-earned rest.
