In November, the mobile bicycle mechanic Verhulst set to work in Born and Maastricht. Many people were glad to have their lights checked, bicycle chain tightened, brakes adjusted, or tyre repaired.
A number of people even brought a new tyre with them. This ensured that everyone could use their bicycles safely once again. Cycling more often is good for people's fitness, helps them save money, and is good for the environment.
The local department of the Fietsersbond (Dutch cyclists’ union) shared the initiative on the Facebook page (in Dutch). Here's to the next campaign!
Every two weeks, more than 18,000 subscribers receive travel tips, smart mobility solutions, and stories from commuters and business owners who travel smarter in South Limburg.
The newsletter is sent in Dutch.
