ZLB to join national cycling mission

The Minister of Infrastructure and Water Manager Stientje van Veldhoven is encouraging more people to travel by bicycle because it’s both healthy and sustainable. She is calling on employers to motivate more employees to commute to work by bicycle. With this in mind, Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar is offering commuters the opportunity to try a free e-bike for two weeks.

Free trial e-bikes

On Thursday 5 March, the team offered free e-bike trials to Johnson Matthey employees at the Beatrixhaven industrial estate in Maastricht. Gert-Jan Krabbendam, alderman of mobility and chair of the Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar steering committee, enthusiastically handed out the first trial e-bikes and high-speed bikes. ‘Cyclists get to work faster and don’t have to worry about traffic jams. Cycling is also healthy. It’s a great way to stay active and to clear your mind after a long workday.’

Give it a go!

Everyone can sign up for the free two-week e-bike trial. The number of bicycles is limited, so be sure to reserve yours as soon as possible. The e-bikes can be picked up and dropped off in Valkenburg, but we will also be travelling to other places in Zuid-Limburg in the coming weeks. On 24 March we will be in Maastricht's Heer neighbourhood.

Reserve your free e-bike, high-speed bike, or folding bike via the link below and pick it up in Heer.
