Commute smarter

by carpooling

Car pooling

Do you always see the same colleague on your way to work? Why not carpool together? You share the same car at the same time and drive to and from work together. Carpooling means fewer cars on the road and in traffic, which is better for the environment.

Fewer cars on the road

Most travel to work by car alone. If four people shared a car on their commute to work, there would be 70% fewer cars on the road during rush hour. Carpooling is not only good for the environment, but also for your wallet. It's an interesting way to commute to work and can also be a great way for colleagues to travel to and from school.

Carpool platform

Do you regularly take long car trips or travel the same route several times a month? If so, why not offer the empty seats in your car on carpool platform and take someone with you when you travel? If you don't have a car and only travel occasionally, you can also use the platform to find someone else to carpool with. Colleagues who share the same route can travel smarter by meeting at a strategic location or a carpool car park and continuing their journey together.

Carpool providers

If you're considering carpooling or ride sharing for a business trip, there are several carpool platforms to choose from.

Advantages of carpooling

  • Lower fuel, maintenance, and parking costs.
  • Social way of travelling.
  • Less crowded roads, fewer traffic jams, and less pollution.
  • Fewer kilometres travelled means a lower odometer reading and less depreciation of your own car.

No one to carpool with?

If you don't have anyone to carpool with, why not consider car sharing? Or become a more economical driver by adopting the new way of driving. Be sure to maintain good tyre pressure as this is better for the environment, or choose an electric car or hybrid car.
