Give your tyres some air
Driving on insufficiently-inflated tyres makes driving more unsafe, consumes more fuel, makes more noise, and damages the environment. This is reason enough to give your tyres some extra air.
We are jumping into action together with the Stichting Band op Spanning foundation and other partners in South Limburg for more environmentally-friendly car use. At various locations, car tyres will be given a little extra air. You can then drive home safe in the knowledge that you have the correct tyre pressure. This saves on fuel and reduces your car's CO2 emission, giving you a good feeling for doing the right thing!
Advantages driving wit the right tyre pressure
- You can save money, up to €100 per year.
- You drive more safely.
- Your car emits less CO2, thus improving air quality.
Who can apply?
During a ‘Band op Spanning’ (right tyre pressure) campaign, a team will visit you at your premises. The team carries a mobile tyre pump with them that can check the tyres of all cars present and add air where necessary, free of charge! The Stichting Band op Spanning foundation uses its own unique software that links over 25,000 recommended tyre pressure values with license plate numbers. This ensures that they always know the correct tyre pressure for each car. Drivers do not need to be present. After the service is provided, each participant will receive an overview of what they have saved relating to the litres of fuel, tyre wear, and CO2 emissions
Will you join us?
Taking part is easy: simply place the flyer that you receive as you enter the car park in a visible spot on the dashboard of your car. If your car has a non-Dutch number plate, fill in the desired tyre pressure and place this card in a visible position on your car's dashboard. When you return to your car after work or visit, your tyres will be at the correct pressure. Please note: some campaigns are open to the public while others are exclusively for employees of the relevant organizations.
Mark your calendar!
Schedule a regular tyre check in your calendar to make sure you're always driving safely and with the right tyre pressure. That way, you'll save on fuel costs and reduce your CO2 emissions.
Where can I find out what the correct tyre pressure for my car is?
