About Maak de Beweging

Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar helps commuters and other people to travel smarter. Together with many partners, our aim is to bring about a structural behavioural change among commuters, visitors, and freight transporters. To create a healthy living, working, and residential environment in South Limburg, we organize various campaigns and offer products and services to help you travel and work smart.

About Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar

Since late 2019, under the banner of Zuid-Limburg Accessible, governments, employers, and mobility service providers have been collaborating to ensure lasting accessibility and reduced car usage in the region. We consistently encourage alternative travel behaviors to promote a healthy living, working, and environmental climate. Additionally, we work on intelligent and sustainable logistical solutions.

The program office was established in 2010 to reduce car dependency, especially among commuters. Major infrastructure projects, such as the new traffic system featuring a two-tier tunnel for the A2 in Maastricht and a new route for the Noorderbrug, served as the impetus.

Nowadays, the implementation program focuses not only on accessibility and traffic flow but also on sustainable mobility, contributing to a healthy living, working, and environmental environment.

The activities of the program office are funded by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of Limburg, and all sixteen municipalities of South Limburg.
